and stitched fingers. Fixed brown paperweight eyes with
painted upper and lower lashes, thick, feathered arching
brows, closed mouth with shading and accents, pierced in
ears with original turquoise earrings, original light
brown mohair wig over original cork pate. Dressed in a
really gorgeous antique renaissance green stripped
overdress with black and cream edge trim, green silk
skirt with shirred waist, applied fancy tatting at the
hem, green silk under-dress with lace bodice, green silk
skirt (all showing wear except the overcoat dress),
original antique split pantaloons underwear and cream
net socks. Later green oilcloth shoes, adorable gray
felt hat with applied feathers and flowers, faux pearl

very beautiful face resembling the Tete Bebe also by Jumeau,
expert and delicate painting of attractive features and crisp
modeling. The original body in excellent very clean and sturdy

hand. A charming little girl. When her legs are moved, her head
turns from side to side and when her strings are pulled, her
right hand bends at the elbow and she waves it to and from her
face as if she is blowing kisses. .

CONDITION: Excellent! Beautifully executed head with fine pale
bisque, expert painting of delicate features and superior
modeling of with a strong resemblance to the Bru Jne doll of the
same era (circa 1885). A surface chip on the upper rear crown.
The kid body has some typical patches. Both bisque lower arms
are in excellent condition. I just can’t get enough of her sweet
face. |
