composition and wood body with turned wood upper arms
and upper legs. Dressed in an outstanding boy’s military
style original antique navy blue wool suit consisting of
a long jacket with faux fur collar and cuffs, double
breasted brass buttons, two pockets, matching vest,
linen shirt with red bow, navy ¾ pants, matching cap,
black socks and black oilcloth shoes. |

an outstanding original costume! Heubach dolls never cease to

and wood arms with straight wrists, cloth upper thighs
with composition lower thighs and legs jointed at the
knees, The body ha working pull strings. She has big
brown flirty eyes that move from side to side, string
upper and painted lower lashes, molded and feathered
brows, open mouth with four upper teeth, deeply dimpled
chin, pierced ears, fine quality light blond mohair wig.
Dressed in her fabulous all original pink cotton frock
with white cotton lace collar, original lace edged
underwear original navy net socks and original black
leather shoes with metal buckle (one buckle missing),
pretty newer pink bonnet with cream lace and applied
flowers. |

CONDITION: Excellent. Fine quality smooth and evenly fired light
brown “café-au lait” bisque with expert and delicate painting of
features, crisp modeling of attractive face. Some typical wig
pulls to the back of the head under the wig and a slight
lightening of the nose tip. The original Handwerck body with
shiny brown original finish with perfect original hands. I just
love Handwercks! And brown ones are not very common. But one
this large is quite rare!! Black dolls are “all the rage” right
now so don’t let this big girl be the one that got away! |

collar, Pink silk sash with matching hair bow, layers of
original cotton underwear, antique white socks, antique

CONDITION: Excellent! Gorgeous, bisque with expert painting of
features and crisp modeling of very endearing face with smooth
black color. Cold painted lips with minor touch-up and tiny
white rub on cheek touched up. The modeling of the black
features is wonderful including the hint of two dimples at the
sides of her nose. The original body in good condition with
original finish (the turned wood upper arms and thighs with matt
finish). One finger is chipped. This beautiful, black S & H
character has a tender presence with a shy expression! An
outstanding and extremely rare example by this revered German
firm!! |

blue fixed spiral eyes with painted upper and lower
lashes, multi stroke brows, closed full mouth, dimpled
chin, pierced ears with glass bead earrings, superb
light blond mohair wig. Dressed in an wonderful antique
blue wool dress with antique lace trim, shirred bodice,
feather stitched accents, and hand smocked sleeve cuffs,
antique underwear, antique blue net socks, antique black
paper shoes with metal buckles, pretty cream silk bow in
her hair. |

CONDITION: Excellent. Fine quality powdery bisque with expert
and delicate painting of features, crisp modeling of very lovely
and sweet face, gentle color. There is an inherent tiny pinhead
bubble pit on the forehead that has been filled in. The original
body in excellent condition with only very minor age wear at
joints and around the neck socket. The doll markedly resembles
the Jumeau Portrait bebe and was produced at about the same
time. Gebruder Kuhnlens also copied the Bru bebes of the same
era. A very pretty face! |

inconspicuous areas), cotton slip, antique brown knit
stockings, black leather shoes (some wear), vintage
bonnet.

painting of features, crisp modeling, pleasant coloring. The
antique German body with repainted finish is in good condition
